Get Set for Work is designed to support young people to take practical steps toward employment or further education in a supportive, structured environment.
Delivered as part of the Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative, the program focuses on breaking down barriers to employment and helping you build the skills, confidence and experience needed to move forward. You’ll take part in hands‑on learning that builds real‑world skills and prepares you for the next stage of your journey.

Get Set for Work is designed for young people who are ready to explore their next steps after leaving school. If you’re thinking about work, training or further study but aren’t sure where to start, the program may be able to support you.
The program is available to young people aged 15–19 who are no longer enrolled in school.
No. You don’t need a clear career plan to take part. Get Set for Work helps you build confidence, skills and experience so you can explore your options and decide what’s right for you.
No prior qualifications or work experience are required. The program is designed to support young people who are just starting out.
No. Get Set for Work is a free program delivered as part of the Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.
The program is delivered by MRAEL Shaping Futures in Rockhampton and Gladstone.
